In recent years, Carly has increased her political advocacy. She actively supported Sen. John McCain in his bid for President. She regularly contributes to the policy discussions of the day joining news shows and writing editorial opinion. She is a frequent speaker before political, business and general public audiences always urging common sense, transparency and ethical business leadership. She is a strong proponent of free trade, small business and tax policy that fosters growth. She has become active in her home state of California addressing business and political groups on these issues. She recently confirmed that she is "seriously considering" a run for the U.S. Senate in 2010.
Carly and Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO) have appeared together on more than one broadcast, each representing their different points of view while respectfully disagreeing.
