Competitiveness
As national anxiety rises over education, immigration, and a troubled economy, it is time for conservative Republicans to bring forth positive options and optimism, as well as a real approach to how Americans will retain our competitive edge on a global stage.
To be a conservative Republican and to exemplify our Party’s values is to be in support of competitiveness in the 21st century. Competitiveness and innovation are as important to America’s growth as power and choice are to America’s hard-working citizens. Senator John McCain embraces the conservative spirit in America and will help move our country forward as President, giving Americans the freedom, power, and choice they are entitled to.
Realistically, successful change takes hard work. But we have the means to attain it, and a Presidential nominee to act on it. McCain stands for honest change, and will guide America to a new future, to the American dream.
In order to invest in America and American families, we must look beyond the bureaucracy of government and return more money to the pockets of hard-working taxpayers and American businesses, and focus on innovation and creativity at home. Preventing job loss to cheaper labor overseas means the product we create here in the U.S. has to exceed quality standards, then consumers are sure to follow. Senator John McCain is dedicated to innovation and increasing jobs and the strength of our economy. He will tackle outdated government programs and wasteful spending head-on, creating room for growth in our economy. This pro-growth strategy is a means to an end for helping American families. McCain has the experience, pragmatism, and strength to get the hard work accomplished and lead America toward a strong future.
But the American dream starts with a job.
Keeping the U.S. workforce competitive means keeping workers equipped with training and mental preparedness they need to get ahead in life. This involves focusing on unemployment insurance programs and retooling them to help the unemployed stay in their jobs. We will call on community colleges and technical schools to widen effective programs for training and re-education. We need to start with every child, giving parents the ability to choose the education that best suits their child’s needs. Schools will be expected to compete in the public arena for their students and their tax incentives. We can’t keep giving free rides to underperforming schools – it damages our children’s future, and in turn, our country’s future. As conservatives, we stick to principles of accountability and transparency that give free markets their power.
As we move forward in the 21st century and the focus shifts to new technology and staying afloat in a fast-paced industry we must reform trade laws to create an open marketplace that keeps America’s best interests at the forefront, while also not hindering the advancement of technology.
The government’s job is to protect the nation and prepare its citizens to face the future with confidence to reveal the full potential of the American people. We have just the man for the job: a forward-thinking, conservative Republican with the right tools to bring America forward and reintroduce her innovation and competitiveness on the global stage. With a Republican in the White House, Americans can count on lower taxes, more choices, and more power over decisions that affect them.
